Madison Nagel had a 42-dig day,
Haley Owen had 10 kills and a .474 hitting percentage against Central Baptist, while
Sara Stovall had seven kills and hit .700 against Lyon as the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns volleyball team (25-5) pushed its winning streak to 17 games after a pair of 3-0 wins on Wednesday.
The Golden Suns opened with a sweep of Central Baptist (4-22) after winning by set scores of 25-8, 25-15, and 25-17; and closed with a sweep of Lyon (11-18) with set wins of 25-12, 25-21, and 25-11.
"It was a good opportunity for us to get some of our younger players some playing time," said Golden Suns head coach

Sara Stovall had a good night against Lyon. We got some players some experience. Now we have a week to prepare for our final regular-season game against UAM."
In the opener, Owen paced the Tech offense, as the Golden Suns got stellar performances from
Mariah King (five kills, .714 hitting percentage) and
Kaci Jackson (seven kills, .412 hitting percentage).
Katie Huff added a nine-kill performance, while King added some solid front-line defense for the Golden Suns with a team-best three blocks.
The Golden Suns hit over .400 in each set, going for identical .448 percentages in the first two sets and hitting .419 in the final set. Arkansas Tech held a .438 to .072 advantage in hitting.
Alyssa Kool dished out 38 assists for the Golden Suns, while Nagel picked up 22 digs in the match.
In the nightcap, the Golden Suns continued their hot hitting, with Stovall leading the way. Jackson was solid once again with a seven-kill performance, hitting .429 and adding six digs, while
McCall Wilkins and
Katie Huff both added six kills.
Emily Todd added seven kills in the finale.
Sierra Nighswonger had a 27-assist performance, while Nagel added 20 digs.
The Golden Suns continued with their efficient hitting, outhitting Lyon .363 to .036. Tech hit a match-high .462 in the second set, and that performance helped to lift Tech to a set win over a Lyon team that hit .333 in the very same set.
Arkansas Tech returns to action on Thursday, November 6, closing out the regular season with a Senior Night tilt with Arkansas-Monticello. A 6 p.m. start is scheduled.
