In Monday night's game, the Wonder Boys got out to a quick start on both ends of the court and by the 7:22 mark had built up a double-digit lead. The lead was high as 16 on a pair of occasions in the first half before it was a 14-point spread going into the locker room, 33-19.

UAM would open the second half on a 7-0 run to cut the deficit in half with 17:17 left in regulation. The Wonder Boys were able to break the run and were back up by double digits by the 16:09 mark.

The Boll Weevils would put together one more surge that brought them within six points by the lead with 13:21 left, but a lightning fast 7-0 run over the course of a minute had the Wonder Boys back in control and leading by 13 points.

Tech would build the lead out as high as 20 points on a pair of occasions before closing out the game with an 11-point margin, 73-62.
