OKATIE, S.C. – The Arkansas Tech men's golf team placed ninth among a stout 16-team field at the Oldfield Classic, hosted the University of South Carolina Beaufort. The 54-hole tournament featured six nationally-ranked teams with four of them being ranked in the top-15.

As a team, the Wonder Boys totaled 897 (+33) and were seven strokes back of the top-five. After shooting 304 in the first round, the Wonder Boys would improve their score each of the final two rounds, shooting 298 in the second round and 295 in the final round.
Overall, the Wonder Boys were led by
Jacob Peetoom and
Landon Lawson as the two tied for 18
th place with three other golfers. Both finished the tournament at five-over (221). Lawson had the lowest round by a Wonder Boy with a two-under (70) in the first round. Peetoom also shot under-par, doing so in the second round with a one-under (71).
Roby Cooper was next for the Wonder Boys. He would finish tied for 32
nd at 11-over (227). He had rounds of 77-75-75. Cameron Twnyholm was two shots back of Cooper and finished tied for 38
th.
Luke Hanson also competed for the Wonder Boys at the event and finished tied for 58
th.
The Wonder Boys will now prepare for their next tournament, the Shadow Valley Invitational. That two-day event will take place Monday, March 2 – Tuesday, March 3 at the Shadow Valley Country Club in Rogers, Arkansas.
