TIPPING OFF
The stretch run of the 2025-26 regular season has arrived and the Arkansas Tech women's basketball team is set to make its final two-game road trip of the season as they will be on the road at Southeastern Oklahoma on Thursday night and then at East Central on Saturday afternoon.

This will be the 36th meeting all-time between Tech and Southeastern Oklahoma and the second meeting this season. The Golden Suns won the first meeting, 96-71, at home on January 17. The series began in 1980 but has been played in earnest as conference rivals since 2012. The Golden Suns currently hold a 19-16 record in the series.

Against East Central, this will be the 40th meeting all-time between Tech and East Central and the second this season. The Golden Suns won the first meeting, 71-69, at home back on January 15. The series began in 1986 but has been played in earnest as conference rivals since 2012. The Golden Suns currently hold a 27-12 record in the series.

Tip-off for the Southeastern game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 19 while the East Central game will have a 1 p.m. tip-off on Saturday, February 21.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 18-4 overall and 14-4 in the GAC. They are coming off a 93-86 win on the road at Ouachita Baptist this past Saturday and are receiving votes in the latest WBCA Division II Top-25 poll released on Tuesday.

Statistically, the Golden Suns average 81.0 ppg to rank first in the GAC and are allowing 71.0 ppg to rank 12th. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Golden Suns are shooting at an overall clip of .441 (616-of-1,397) to rank first in the GAC and are allowing their opponents to shoot at a .417 mark (543-of-1,303) to rank 10th.

Dave Wilbers, who is in his 19th season as Tech. During his time at Tech,

Wilbers-led team has been nationally-ranked at any point in a season 11 times. Among those, he has guided the Golden Suns to the top of the rankings on a pair of occasions during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.

SCOUTING THE SAVAGE STORM
Southeastern Oklahoma is 12-12 overall and are 9-9 in the GAC. They are coming off a 74-64 loss on the road at Northwestern Oklahoma this past Monday, but prior to that defeat, Southeastern had won seven-straight games.

On the defensive end of the court, the Savage Storm rank ninth in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 67.3 ppg. East Central enters this weekend 13-9 overall and 9-9 in the GAC. The Tigers will have played a game at home against Harding on Thursday night prior to taking on Tech on Saturday afternoon. Heading into the weekend, the Tigers have won two-straight games and are most-recently coming off a 56-52 win on the road at Southern Nazarene this past Monday.

Statistically, the Tigers average 62.1 ppg and rank 11th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Tigers rank second in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 60.2 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Tigers are sixth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .408 (485-of-1,188) and are allowing their opponents a .381 mark (467-of-1,225) to rank fifth.
