TIPPING OFF
With two weeks and four games left in the regular season, the Arkansas Tech men's basketball team is set to hit the road for a pair of games at Southeastern Oklahoma on Thursday night and then at East Central on Saturday afternoon.

This will be the 44th meeting all-time between Tech and Southeastern Oklahoma and the second this season. Tech won the initial game this season, 77-62, at home back on January 17. The series began in 1949 but has been played in earnest as conference rivals since 2012. Tech currently holds a 24-19 record in the series.

Against East Central, this will be the 46th meeting all-time between Tech and ECU and the second this season. Tech won the initial meeting this season, 62-61 on a last-second three-pointer at home back on January 15. The series began in 1957 but has been played in earnest as conference rivals since 2012. Tech currently holds a 24-21 record in the series.

Tip-off for the Southeastern Oklahoma game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 19 while the East Central game will have a 3 p.m. tip-off on Saturday, February 21.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Wonder Boys enter the weekend at 8-16 overall and 6-12 in the Great American Conference. They have lost two-straight games, with both coming last weekend on the road at Harding and No. 16 Ouachita Baptist, respectively.

Mark Downey, who is in his sixth season back on the sidelines at Tech after a 10-year hiatus. In his first stint,
Downey patrolled the sidelines at Tech for four seasons from 2006-07 - 2009-10. In his final season,
Downey guided the Wonder Boys to a program-record 30 wins and during that season, the Wonder Boys were ranked No. 1 in NCAA DII for the first time ever.

SCOUTING THE SAVAGE STORM
Southeastern Oklahoma enters the weekend 7-17 overall and 6-12 in the GAC. They are coming off a 71-65 win on the road at Northwestern Oklahoma this past Monday.

Statistically, the Savage Storm average 70.3 ppg and rank ninth in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Savage Storm rank 12th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 78.2 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Savage Storm are 10th in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .433 (596-of-1,376) and allow their opponents to post a .486 mark (699-of-1,437) to rank 12th.

East Central enters this weekend 13-11 overall and 8-10 in the GAC. The Tigers have won two-straight games with their most-recent game being a 65-57 win on the road at Southern Nazarene this past Monday.

Statistically, the Tigers average 74.8 ppg and rank third in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Tigers rank sixth in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 69.1 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Tigers are first in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .485 (625-of-1,288) and allow their opponents to post a .444 mark (588-of-1,323) to rank eighth.
