RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech freshman forward
Logan Young has been named as the latest Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week as it was announced by the league office on Monday.
It is the first GAC weekly award in the career of Young and the second for the Golden Suns this season.
In earning the conference honor, Young scored a career-high 31 points and served as a catalyst to Arkansas Tech's 99-71 blowout win over Ouachita Baptist this past Saturday.
A lion's share of Young's points came inside the paint as 10 of her 12 made field goals game on layups. Additionally, all but three of the layups came in the second half as Young scored 22 of her points over the final two quarters.
Her most dominant quarter was the third as she was 6-of-10 overall from the floor, 1-of-2 from three-point range and 3-of-3 from the free throw line.
