RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – With a pair of wins a week ago at home, the Arkansas Tech men's basketball team is looking to continue that momentum into this week's slate of games as they will be at home on Thursday night against rival Harding.

This will be the 158th meeting all-time between Tech and Harding. The series began in 1925-26 and have played regularly since as conference opponents. Tech currently holds a 90-67 record in the series.

Tip-off for the Harding game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 22.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Wonder Boys enter the weekend of action at 6-10 overall and 4-6 in the Great American Conference. They have won two-straight games after a 2-0 week at home last week. The Wonder Boys are most-recently coming off a convincing 77-62 win against Southeastern Oklahoma this past Saturday.

Statistically, the Wonder Boys average 68.6 ppg and rank 10th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Wonder Boys rank sixth in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 69.4 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Wonder Boys are 10th in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .432 (386-of-893). Their opponents are shooting at a .405 mark (371-of-917) to rank third.

From beyond-the-arc, the Wonder Boys shoot at a clip of .326 (118-of-362) to rank sixth in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .292 (114-of-391) to rank second. From the free throw line, the Wonder Boys shoot .730 as a team (208-of-285) to rank sixth.

Individually, the Wonder Boys have two players averaging double figures in scoring and are led by
David Elliott IV and his 13.1 ppg.
Connor Davis is next in scoring and rounds out double-figure scoring at 10.5 ppg.

Devin Foster is leading the team in rebounding and is averaging 5.6 rebounds per game. In terms of assists,
Elliott IV leads the team and is averaging 3.5 assists per game.

The Wonder Boys are coached by
Mark Downey, who is in his sixth season back on the sidelines at Tech after a 10-year hiatus. In his first stint,
Downey patrolled the sidelines at Tech for four seasons from 2006-07 - 2009-10. In his final season,
Downey guided the Wonder Boys to a program-record 30 wins and during that season, the Wonder Boys were ranked No. 1 in NCAA DII for the first time ever.

In his time at Tech, which is now in its 10th season overall,
Downey has amassed a 153-121 record. Overall,
Downey is in his 19th season as a head coach and has career record of 319-227.

SCOUTING THE BISONS
Harding enters the weekend 12-4 overall and 8-2 in the GAC. The Bisons have won two-straight games with both wins coming at home last weekend. Their most-recent game was a 96-62 win against East Central this past Saturday.

Statistically, the Bisons average 74.8 ppg and rank seventh in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Bisons rank second in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 61.4 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Bisons are 12th in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .413 (396-of-959) and allow their opponents to post a .399 mark (338-of-848) to rank second.
