BETHANY, Okla. – After a back and forth first half, the Arkansas Tech men's basketball team lost pace in the second half on the road at No. 7-ranked Southern Nazarene, losing by a score of 62-39.
In the first half, there were six lead changes and two tie scores. Additionally, the largest lead on either side in the opening 20 minutes was just five points. At the end of the half, SNU was up by four, 22-18.
The Wonder Boys would score the first five points of the second half and led 23-22 with 15:46 left on the clock. The lead was gained by the Wonder Boys off a three-pointer from
Damon Augustus. Shortly thereafter, however, SNU responded with a three of their own and regained the lead at the 15:14 mark.
That was the start of an 11-0 run by the Crimson Storm over the next two minutes or so of action to push the lead out double-digits. From there, the Crimson Storm would continue to build on their lead and led by as much as 25 points before the final horn.
Sam Bradford led the Wonder Boys in scoring with 10 points.
The Wonder Boys will now make their way back home where they will play their next four games at. First up is a Thursday night game against East Central on January 15. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. from Tucker Coliseum.
