RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech men's golf team is set to begin their 2025-26 season with The Mule, hosted by the University of Central Missouri at the Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Missouri.
The 2025-26 Wonder Boys golf team was recently picked to finish third at the future 2026 Great American Conference Men's Golf Championship Tournament according to the league's preseason coaches poll. This year's team has the return services of their three top golfers in
Roby Cooper,
Landon Lawson and
Jacob Peetoom.
The 2025 GAC Championship Individual Medalist, Lawson finished his junior year as the No. 20-ranked men's golfer in the Central Region with a 73.0 stroke average. He also is the lone returning all-conference golfer from a year ago for the Wonder Boys.
In addition to those three key returners, second-year head coach
Lowell Stephens has bolstered the team with the additions of
Bradley Knodle,
Nicholas Norris and
Mason Palmer. Knodle received the initial opportunity to play in a tournament setting for the Wonder Boys and will do so at this week's event.
The 54-hole event is scheduled to have a shotgun start of 8:30 a.m. on Monday and the Wonder Boys will be grouped with host, Central Missouri, Fort Hays State and Upper Iowa. Monday is set to feature 36 holes of play with the second round occurring shortly after the completion of the opening round,
Tuesday's tee times will be determined after Monday's results.
