RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech freshman linebacker
Bennett Roberts has been named as the latest Great American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week as it was announced by the league office on Monday.
The weekly conference award is the first of the career for Roberts and is the second for the Wonder Boys this season.
A native of Gentry, Ark., Roberts had two blocked punts in Arkansas Tech's 44-0 win at home against Northwestern Oklahoma. His first block came late in the first quarter. His second came in the second quarter and six plays later, the Wonder Boys scored their third touchdown of the game.
Roberts also added six total tackles in the game with four being solo stops.
