ENID, Okla. – The Arkansas Tech baseball team had their 2025 Great American Conference Tournament come to an end on Saturday evening as they fell to No. 4-seeded Harding by a score of 11-5.
With the loss, the Wonder Boys now await the NCAA Regional Tournament selection announcement to see where they may be headed to continue their season. The selection will take place on Sunday, May 11 at 9 p.m. CT on NCAA.com. There will be one more region ranking release prior to selections and that will be published on Tuesday, May 6. In the most-recent rankings, Tech was No. 5.
In Saturday's game against Harding, the Wonder Boys fell behind early as the Bisons scored five runs in the top of the first. The Wonder Boys would fight back over the next three innings and pulled within a run, 5-4, through three innings of play as they scored a run in the second and three in the third.
The next three innings were scoreless on both sides, but Harding was able to strike for five more runs in their half of the seventh to cushion their lead. They would add a run in the eighth and Tech did the same in the bottom of the ninth to bring the score to its final of 11-5.
