ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech softball team lost both ends of their doubleheader on the road at Henderson State on Saturday afternoon.
Tech would drop the first game 8-0 in six innings and were limited to just one hit in the contest. All eight of the Reddies' runs scored over the final three innings of play.
In the second game, the Golden Suns were one out away from delivering a shutout victory of their own, but a game-tying three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh by Henderson forced the game to extra innings. In the ninth, Henderson got another clutch two-out hit, this time to drive in the winning run.
The Golden Suns will now look to salvage a game in the series on Monday as the finale will take place starting at 1 p.m.
