FORT SMITH, Ark. – On Wednesday, the Great American Conference announced its annual women's basketball all-conference selections and superlative award winners for the 2024-25 season at the pre-championship awards banquet inside the ACHE Research Institute in Fort Smith, Ark.

In that announcement, Arkansas Tech's
Julie Wagner was named as an honorable mention selection. It is the first conference post-season award for Wagner, who recently completed her four-year career as a Golden Sun.
Over her career, Wagner would play in 104 games and started every game over her final two seasons.
A native of Humbolt, Tenn., Wagner continued her ascent as a player, and in her final year, set career highs in points (248), points per game (9.5 ppg), rebounds (194), rebounds per game (7.5) and field goal percentage (.453).
She ended her senior season ranked in the top-15 in the GAC in total rebounding (5
th), offensive rebounding (8
th), defensive rebounding (3
rd) and field goal percentage (12
th).
In addition to Wagner being named all-conference for her play on the court, she, along with three other teammates were honored by the league for their academic achievements as they were named to the GAC Academic Honor Roll.
Joining Wagner in the academic distinction were
Sarah Edmondson,
Kamryn Sutterfield and
Hayleigh Wyrick. In order to be named to the GAC Academic Honor Roll, which is presented by Conway Regional Health System, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and have at least one year of full-time college residency.
