The Arkansas Tech women's basketball team is back at home for a rare Sunday afternoon conference game in which they will be taking on East Central.

This will be the 38th meeting all-time between Tech and East Central. The series began in 1986 but has been played in earnest as conference rivals since 2012. The Golden Suns currently hold a 26-11 record in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 6-17 overall and 4-15 in GAC play. They are coming off a 69-60 loss at home against Southeastern Oklahoma this past Friday. The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for the Golden Suns.

This season, the Golden Suns average 61.3 ppg and rank ninth in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Golden Suns rank 11th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 67.6 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Golden Suns are ninth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .392 (516-of-1,317) and are allowing their opponents to shoot at a .388 mark (558-of-1,438) to rank third.

Wilbers-led team has been nationally-ranked at any point in a season 10 times. Among those, he has guided the Golden Suns to the top of the rankings on a pair of occasions during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
East Central is 9-14 overall and are 7-12 in conference play. The Tigers are coming off a 60-56 loss on the road at Harding this past Friday. ECU is currently tied with Southern Arkansas and Henderson State for seventh-place in the conference standings.

Statistically, the Tigers average 58.7 ppg and rank 12th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Tigers rank third in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 59.9 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Tigers are eighth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .394 (499-of-1,267) and are allowing their opponents a .401 mark (472-of-1,178) to rank 11th.
