The Arkansas Tech men's basketball team remains at home this Saturday and will host Ouachita Baptist

This will be 185th meeting all-time between Tech and Ouachita Baptist. In a series that dates back to the 1926-27 season, Tech and Ouachita have played each other multiple times a year consistently as conference rivals. Overall, Ouachita holds a slight 93-91 advantage in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Wonder Boys are 9-14 overall and 6-11 in the GAC. Tech has lost their last four games and are coming off a tough 63-61 loss at home against Harding this past Thursday.

Statistically, the Wonder Boys average 66.2 ppg and rank 11th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Wonder Boys rank third in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 66.6 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Wonder Boys are 10th in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .430 (543-of-1,264) and allow their opponents to shoot at a .431 mark (526-of-1,221) to rank third.

From beyond-the-arc, the Wonder Boys shoot at a clip of .294 (138-of-470) to rank 12th in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .346 (172-of-497) to rank seventh. From the free throw line, the Wonder Boys shoot .711 as a team (298-of-419) to rank eighth.

Cassius Brooks and his 18.8 ppg.

The Wonder Boys are coached by
Mark Downey, who is in his fifth season back on the sidelines at Tech after a 10-year hiatus. In his first stint, Downey patrolled the sidelines at Tech for four seasons from 2006-07 - 2009-10. In his final season, Downey guided the Wonder Boys to a program-record 30 wins and during that season, the Wonder Boys were ranked No. 1 in NCAA DII for the first time ever.

In his time at Tech, which is now in its ninth season overall, Downey has amassed a 144-108 record. Overall, Downey is in his 18th season as a head coach and has career record of 310-214.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Ouachita Baptist is 16-7 overall and 11-6 in conference play. The Tigers have won two-straight games and are coming off a 73-71 win at home against rival Henderson State this past Thursday.

Statistically, the Tigers average 82.6 ppg and rank first in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Tigers rank eighth in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 74.1 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Tigers are first in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .496 (688-of-1,386) and allow their opponents to post a .445 mark (600-of-1,347) to rank seventh.
