RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech freshman running back Bryson Roland has been named as the latest Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week as it was announced by the league office on Monday.
 
The weekly conference award is the first of the career for Roland and is the fourth for the Wonder Boys this season.
 
A native of La Vega, Texas, Roland had a career day on the ground against Southern Nazarene this past Saturday. The true freshman running back would rush for 207 yards on 19 carries for an average of 10.9 yards per rush. Roland also scored a pair of touchdowns and had two pass receptions to bolster his overall performance.
 
The 200 yards rushing were the most by a Tech running back since 2017 when Braden Stringer ran for 230 yards against Southeastern Oklahoma.
