The Arkansas Tech women's basketball team is back at home for the second time in as many games and will take on Northwestern Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon.
 
This will be the 28th meeting all-time between Tech and Northwestern Oklahoma. The Golden Suns hold a commanding 21-6 record in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are 3-14 overall and 1-11 in GAC play.
 
This season, the Golden Suns average 62.0 ppg and rank 10th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Golden Suns rank 11th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 69.0 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Golden Suns are 10th in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .384 (384-of-1,000) and are allowing their opponents to shoot at a .393 mark (420-of-1,068) to rank sixth.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Golden Suns shoot at a clip of .269 (80-of-297) to rank 12th in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .328 (121-of-369) to rank sixth. From the free throw line, the Golden Suns shoot .654 as a team (206-of-315) to rank 12th.
 
Individually, the Golden Suns have two players averaging double figure with AbbiGrace Cunningham leading the way at 10.7 ppg. Olivia Jones is next and rounds out double-figure scoring at 10.2 ppg. Two others average at least 8.0 ppg.
 
Julie Wagner leads the team in rebounds with 7.6 rpg. In terms of assists, Andie Zylak leads the team with 3.4 apg.
 
Defensively, the Golden Suns are led in steals by Zylak at 1.5 spg and in blocks by Wagner at 1.1 bpg.
 
The Golden Suns are coached by Dave Wilbers, who is in his 18th season as Tech. During his time at Tech, Wilbers has amassed a 359-148 overall record. Nine times, Wilbers has won 20 or more games at Tech and twice has won 30 or more. In terms of national rankings, a Wilbers-led team has been nationally-ranked at any point in a season 10 times. Among those, he has guided the Golden Suns to the top of the rankings on a pair of occasions during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.
 
SCOUTING THE RANGERS
Northwestern Oklahoma is 10-9 overall and are 7-6 in conference play. The Rangers are coming off a win in their most-recent game on the road at Harding this past Thursday.
 
Statistically, the Rangers average 68.4 ppg and rank second in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Rangers rank eighth in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 62.5 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Rangers are fifth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .405 (476-of-1,176) and are allowing their opponents a .380 mark (411-of-1,082) to rank fourth.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Rangers shoot at a clip of .340 (106-of-312) to rank third in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .332 (148-of-446) to rank 10th. From the free throw line, the Rangers shoot .772 as a team (241-of-312) to rank fourth.
 
Individually, the Rangers have three players averaging double figures in scoring and are led by Payton Jones at 12.3 ppg. Kennedy Hight is next at 11.4 ppg while Carly Craig rounds out double-figure scoring at 10.4 ppg. Two other players are averaging at least 8.0 ppg.
 
Camille Thomas is the team-leader in rebounding and is averaging 6.4 rebounds per game. In terms of assists, Hight leads the team and are averaging 3.9 assists per game.
 
Defensively, the Rangers are led in steals by Craig at 1.8 steals per game and in blocks by Kira Bass at 1.0 blocks per game.
 
The Rangers are coached by Tasha Diesselhorst, who is in her ninth season at Northwestern Oklahoma. At NWOSU, Diesselhorst is 114-126.
