The Arkansas Tech men's basketball team concludes their four-game road stretch on Saturday afternoon at Arkansas-Monticello.
 
This will be 176th meeting all-time between Tech and Arkansas-Monticello. In a series that dates back to 1929, the two have played each other multiple times a year consistently as conference rivals. Overall, Tech holds a 113-62 advantage in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Wonder Boys are 7-10 overall and 4-7 in the GAC. Tech is coming off an 84-75 loss on the road at Harding this past Thursday night.
 
Statistically, the Wonder Boys average 67.7 ppg and rank 11th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Wonder Boys rank third in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 67.8 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Wonder Boys are ninth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .435 (410-of-942) and allow their opponents to shoot at a .434 mark (398-of-918) to rank fifth.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Wonder Boys shoot at a clip of .289 (105-of-363) to rank 11th in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .347 (129-of-372) to rank seventh. From the free throw line, the Wonder Boys shoot .704 as a team (226-of-321) to rank ninth.
 
Individually, the Wonder Boys have two players averaging double figures in scoring and are led by Cassius Brooks and his 18.4 ppg. Carlos Ramsey Jr. is next and rounds out double-digit scoring at 11.0 ppg. Three other Wonder Boys are averaging at least 7.0 ppg
 
Seybian Sims is the team-leader in rebounding and is averaging 7.3 rebounds per game. In terms of assists, Kade Shaffer leads the team and is averaging 3.9 assists per game.
 
Defensively, the Wonder Boys are led in steals by Brooks at 1.4 steals per game and in blocks by Sean Cobb at 0.7 blocks per game.
 
The Wonder Boys are coached by Mark Downey, who is in his fifth season back on the sidelines at Tech after a 10-year hiatus. In his first stint, Downey patrolled the sidelines at Tech for four seasons from 2006-07 - 2009-10. In his final season, Downey guided the Wonder Boys to a program-record 30 wins and during that season, the Wonder Boys were ranked No. 1 in NCAA DII for the first time ever.
 
In his time at Tech, which is now in its ninth season overall, Downey has amassed a 142-104 record. Overall, Downey is in his 18th season as a head coach and has career record of 308-210.
 
SCOUTING THE BOLL WEEVILS
Arkansas-Monticello is 4-13 overall and 1-10 in conference play. The Boll Weevils have lost their last four games. Their most-recent game was a 76-63 loss on the road at Southern Arkansas this past Thursday.
 
Statistically, the Boll Weevils average 58.4 ppg and rank 12th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Boll Weevils rank first in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 62.4 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Boll Weevils are 12th in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .420 (387-of-922) and allow their opponents to post a .425 mark (378-of-890) to rank fourth.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Boll Weevils shoot at a clip of .286 (86-of-301) to rank 12th in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .320 (101-of-316) to rank fourth. From the free throw line, the Boll Weevils shoot .605 as a team (133-of-220) to rank 12th.
 
Individually, the Boll Weevils have one player averaging double figures in scoring and are led by Seth Grandberry and his 15.9 ppg. Two other players are scoring at least 7.0 ppg.
 
Jamir Turner is the team-leader in rebounding and is averaging 5.4 rebounds per game. In terms of assists, Alex Brogdon leads the team and is averaging 1.9 assists per game.
 
Defensively, the Boll Weevils are led in steals by Grandberry at 1.5 steals per game and in blocks by Harouna Sissoko at 0.9 blocks per game.
 
The Boll Weevils are coached by Chad Tapp, who is in his fourth at Arkansas-Monticello and his 15th overall. In his time at UAM, Tapp is 38-63 and is 203-223 overall.
