TIPPING OFF
The Arkansas Tech men's basketball team is looking to get right back to the court on Saturday afternoon as they look to bounce back with a road game at Southeastern Oklahoma.
 
This will be 41st meeting all-time between Tech and Southeastern Oklahoma. In a series that dates back to 1949, the series has been played in earnest since 2012 when they two became conference rivals. Overall, Arkansas Tech holds a 22-18 advantage in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Wonder Boys are 6-9 overall and 3-6 in the GAC. Tech is coming off tough loss on the road their last time out at East Central and have dropped their last two games.
 
Statistically, the Wonder Boys average 66.7 ppg and rank 11th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Wonder Boys rank third in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 67.0 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Wonder Boys are ninth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .428 (352-of-823) and allow their opponents to shoot at a .432 mark (350-of-810) to rank fifth.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Wonder Boys shoot at a clip of .283 (92-of-325) to rank 11th in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .351 (112-of-319) to rank seventh. From the free throw line, the Wonder Boys shoot .701 as a team (204-of-291) to rank eighth.
 
Individually, the Wonder Boys have one player averaging double figures in scoring and are led by Cassius Brooks and his 17.7 ppg. Five other Wonder Boys are averaging at least 7.0 ppg
 
Seybian Sims is the team-leader in rebounding and is averaging 7.8 rebounds per game. In terms of assists, Kade Shaffer leads the team and is averaging 3.9 assists per game.
 
Defensively, the Wonder Boys are led in steals by Brooks at 1.3 steals per game and in blocks by Sean Cobb at 0.8 blocks per game.
 
The Wonder Boys are coached by Mark Downey, who is in his fifth season back on the sidelines at Tech after a 10-year hiatus. In his first stint, Downey patrolled the sidelines at Tech for four seasons from 2006-07 - 2009-10. In his final season, Downey guided the Wonder Boys to a program-record 30 wins and during that season, the Wonder Boys were ranked No. 1 in NCAA DII for the first time ever.
 
In his time at Tech, which is now in its ninth season overall, Downey has amassed a 141-103 record. Overall, Downey is in his 18th season as a head coach and has career record of 307-209.
 
SCOUTING THE SAVAGE STORM
Southeastern Oklahoma is 5-10 overall and 3-6 in conference play. The Savage Storm have won their last two games with the most recent coming at home against Harding, 94-58, this past Thursday.
 
Statistically, the Savage Storm average 79.7 ppg and rank third in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Savage Storm rank 11th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 79.8 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Savage Storm are fourth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .473 (453-of-958) and allow their opponents to post a .462 mark (435-of-942) to rank ninth.
 
From beyond-the-arc, the Savage Storm shoot at a clip of .357 (125-of-350) to rank fifth in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .383 (126-of-329) to rank 12th. From the free throw line, the Savage Storm shoot .713 as a team (164-of-230) to rank seventh.
 
Individually, the Savage Storm have four players averaging double figures in scoring and are led by DJ Dill and his 15.3 ppg. Landon Condiff is next at 12.1 ppg followed by Robert Briley at 11.1 ppg. Daniel Halldorsson rounds out double figure scoring at 10.3 ppg.
 
Briley is the team-leader in rebounding and is averaging 7.9 rebounds per game. In terms of assists, Halldorsson leads the team and is averaging 7.1 assists per game.
 
Defensively, the Savage Storm are led in steals by Halldorsson at 1.0 steals per game and in blocks by Briley at 1.1 blocks per game.
 
The Savage Storm are coached by Kelly Green, who is in his 14th season at Southeastern Oklahoma and his 15th overall. In his time at SE, Green is 213-171 and 221-189 overall.
