TIPPING OFF
The Arkansas Tech men's basketball team is back at home this Thursday and will be looking to exact some revenge against Southern Nazarene after falling to SNU by a point on the road in the first game between the two in mid-January.

That tough loss snapped what was an 11-game winning streak for the Wonder Boys.

This will be the 24th meeting all-time between Arkansas Tech and Southern Nazarene in a series that dates back to the 1983-84 season. Overall, Tech trails in the series, 9-14. Since the two became conference foes within the GAC prior to the 2012-13 season, the Wonder Boys are 8-13 against SNU.

Tip-off for Thursday night's game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. inside the Tucker Coliseum.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Wonder Boys are 15-5 overall this season and are 11-3 in the GAC. Most-recently, the Wonder Boys overcame a double-digit deficit with just over four minutes left to beat East Central on the road this past Saturday.

Statistically, the Wonder Boys average 75.0 ppg and rank fifth in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Wonder Boys rank first in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 66.1 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Wonder Boys are third in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .475 (531-of-1,119) and limit their opponents to a .428 mark (445-of-1,040) to rank second.

Individually, the Wonder Boys have three players averaging double figures in scoring and are led by
Taelon Peter and his 19.9 ppg.
Cassius Brooks and
Tommy Kamarad are next in scoring at 12.7 ppg and 12.6 ppg, respectively.

Josh Mitchell is the team-leader in rebounding and is averaging 6.2 rebounds per game. In terms of assists,
Kade Shaffer leads the team and is averaging 4.2 assists per game.

Mitchell at 1.8 blocks per game.

The Wonder Boys are coached by
Mark Downey, who is in his fourth season back on the sidelines at Tech after a 10-year hiatus. In his first stint,
Downey patrolled the sidelines at Tech for four seasons from 2006-07 - 2009-10. In his final season,
Downey guided the Wonder Boys to a program-record 30 wins and during that season, the Wonder Boys were ranked No. 1 in NCAA DII for the first time ever.

In his time at Tech, which is now in its eighth season overall,
Downey has amassed a 125-92 record. Overall,
Downey is in his 17th season as a head coach and has career record of 291-198.

SCOUTING THE CRIMSON STORM
Southern Nazarene is 9-10 overall this season and are 6-8 in GAC play. The Crimson Storm have won two-straight games. Each of those wins came at home last week as they hosted Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State.

Statistically, the Crimson Storm average 72.4 ppg and rank sixth in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Crimson Storm rank ninth in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 74.6 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Crimson Storm are second in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .477 (491-of-1,029) and limit their opponents to a .472 mark (515-of-1,092) to rank 10th.
