TIPPING OFF
The Arkansas Tech women's basketball team is set to play its final non-conference game of the season on Wednesday as they travel to Pittsburg, Kansas to take on nationally-ranked Pittsburg State.

This will be the third meeting all-time between Tech and Pitt State and the second in as many years. Pitt State has won both prior meetings.

Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 1 p.m. inside John Lance Arena on the campus of Pittsburg State.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are off to an early 2-1 start to their season and are coming off a 58-43 win on the road at former conference rival, Delta State.

With three games to their credit, the Golden Suns average 78.7 ppg and rank fourth in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Golden Suns rank eighth in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 65.0 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Golden Suns are sixth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .424 (86-of-203) and are allowing their opponents to shoot at a .351 mark (68-of-194) to rank fifth.

Dave Wilbers, who is in his 18th season as Tech. During his time at Tech,
Wilbers has amassed a 358-135 overall record. Nine times,
Wilbers has won 20 or more games at Tech and twice has won 30 or more. In terms of national rankings, a
Wilbers-led team has been nationally-ranked at any point in a season 10 times. Among those, he has guided the Golden Suns to the top of the rankings on a pair of occasions during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.

SCOUTING THE GORILLAS
No. 13-ranked Pittsburg State is out to a 5-1 start to their season and have won five-straight games. Their most-recent game was an 88-72 win at home against Northwestern Oklahoma this past Thursday.

On the defensive end of the court, the Gorillas rank seventh in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 65.5 ppg.
