FORT SMITH, Ark. – Stepping away from Great American Conference action on Tuesday night, the Arkansas Tech volleyball team took the short trip west on I-40 to play the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith in a non-conference match. Tech would fall in straight sets to UAFS.
The Lions were relentless in their offensive attack against the Golden Suns and posted double-digit kill totals in all three sets. Conversely, the Golden Suns were stymied on their offensive end totaling 24 kills in the match.
Seven Golden Suns registered a kill with three having five or more.
Savannah Meyer led the team in kills on Tuesday with seven.
Gracie Palmer led in assists with 13 and
Jamie Myrick led defensively with 12digs.
The Golden Suns will now remain on the road for a pair of matches in the Sooner State later this week. First up, the Golden Suns will take on Southwestern Oklahoma on Thursday night starting at 6 p.m. The following day will see them play at Northwestern Oklahoma. That match will start at 4 p.m.
