RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech sophomore tennis player
Lea Grinberg has been named as the latest Great American Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week as it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Grinberg, a native of France, earned her second career GAC weekly award after she went unbeaten in singles and doubles action over the last week of action for Arkansas Tech.
Playing at No. 1 singles, her singles play was highlighted by a three-set win over nationally-ranked No. 43 opponent Ewa Samberger. In that match, Grinberg won the first set 7-6 and then dropped the second set 6-0. She rallied in the tiebreaker and won 6-3.
She, along with doubles partner
Daniela Baez, would also pick a big win in No. 1 doubles against Drury's top doubles team of Samberger and Kseniia Eremina.
