Madison Grantham picked up 22 digs, and
Brianna Merkel had a 28-assist, 11-dig, six-kill performance as the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns volleyball team (4-5, 1-0 Great American Conference) picked up a 3-0 sweep of Harding (5-4, 0-1) on Tuesday night at Rhodes-Reaves Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two teams traded points in the opening set with Harding edging ahead 9-8 before the Golden Suns scored eight of nine points to seize a 16-10 lead.
- Harding reeled off three straight points to cut its deficit to 16-13, but Tech answered with three straight to reclaim a six-point (19-13) lead.
- After the Lady Bisons pulled to within 22-17, the Golden Suns scored the final three points of the set to take the opening set 25-17.
- Neither team was able to take more than a two-point advantage in the second set, with an Eford kill providing the winner for the Golden Suns in a 25-23 set victory.
- Harding and Tech traded points again in the third set with the Lady Bisons jumping ahead 17-15 before Arkansas Tech reeled off five straight points to jump ahead 20-17.
- Harding came back to knot the match at 22, and took the match to the first match point at 24-22.
- Between the two teams, there were seven match points, with the Golden Suns rallying from a 28-27 deficit with three straight points to take the 30-28 victory in the final set and a 3-0 match win.

- Tech's sweep of Harding was the first sweep of the Lady Bisons in GAC play since Tech downed HU on September 9, 2017 in Russellville; and was the first sweep of Harding in GAC play at home since September 20, 2016 – also done by the Golden Suns.
