KEARNEY, Neb. – Anyse Smith turned in another impressive performance, putting down 16 kills while hitting .387. The Golden Suns offense had their best showing this season, hitting .256 as a team while earning their first sweep victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Suns started the game off with a 17-4 run with kills from Allie Anderson and Greer Rogers.
- Tech took the first set handedly 25-11.
- The Cowgirls took the lead early in the second 16-11 but Tech clawed back to tie things up 18-18.
- NMHU had two set points but couldn't capitalize and the Golden Suns took the second set 29-27.
- Tech took a small lead to start the third set, 9-6 but NMHU tied things up 11-11.
- Neither team led by more than two until took a four-point lead to win the third set 25-21 and the match.
NOTABLES
- Rogers had team-best .400 hitting percentage, with seven kills.
- Brianna Merkel dished out match-high 35 assists.
- Rilie Vote was second on the team with nine kills, hitting .368.
- Tech hit a blistering .577 in the first set, putting down 16 kills on 26 attempts.
