ARKADELPHIA, Ark.–
Jalei Oglesby turned in a team-best 18 points, while
Hannah Villines chipped in 14, but the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns basketball team (3-2, 1-1 Great American Conference) was unable to overcome the hot shooting of Henderson State (4-1, 2-0), falling 89-71 to the Reddies on Saturday at the Duke Wells Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Suns opened the game scoring the first five points, but the Reddies responded to tie the game at 5-5 at the 7:33 mark of the opening quarter.
- After Tech pushed ahead by four (9-5) just over a minute later, Henderson responded to take its first lead of the game at the 4:49 mark on a pair of free throws.
- A 3-pointer at the 3:49 mark pushed Henderson State's lead out to four (15-11), but Tech answered with five straight points to briefly retake the lead on a 3-pointer by Kaley Shipman with 2:56 remaining.
- HSU reclaimed the advantage and pushed ahead by five (26-21) at the end of the quarter.
- HSU surged in the early minutes of the second quarter, pushing ahead by double figures (38-28) at the 7:09 mark and the Reddies would lead by as many as 16 (52-36) before taking a 14-point (52-38) lead into the half.
- Tech rallied in the third quarter, pulling to within seven (58-51) with 5:49 to play on a Villines 3-pointer.
- Henderson would let the Golden Suns get no closer in the quarter, pushing the lead back out to 14 (74-60) in the final minutes of the quarter before a Ke'Vonshaye Stackhouse 3-pointer pulled Tech back within 11 (74-63) going into the fourth quarter.
- The Reddies were able to hold Tech at arm's length during the fourth quarter, sealing the victory.
