Jalei Oglesby turned in a 34-point, eight-rebound, five-assist performance to lead the way for the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns basketball team (2-1), but the Golden Suns were unable to close a furious late rally against Angelo State (2-1), falling 92-90 to the Belles on Sunday at Tucker Coliseum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two teams traded leads over the opening minutes of the game. Angelo State used a Megan Guadian jumper at the 6:11 mark to pull ahead 12-10, and after pushing ahead 14-10, the Golden Suns cut the deficit to one (14-13) on a 3-point play by Oglesby.
- ASU pulled ahead with a bucket on the next possession and again Oglesby answered with a jumper with 4:07 remaining in the quarter to pull Tech to within 16-15.
- The Belles outscored the Golden Suns 11-3 down the stretch to take a nine-point (27-18) lead after the opening quarter.
- Angelo extended its lead to 17 (37-20) in the opening minutes of the second quarter, but Tech used a 13-0 run to cut its deficit to four (37-33) with 4:29 to go until half.
- ASU stretched its lead slightly and went into the half with a seven-point (44-37) lead.
- Tech narrowed the gap in the opening minutes of the third quarter, using an 8-0 run capped by a 3-pointer by Jayana Sanders to pull to within one (51-50) with 6:38 remaining.
- After Angelo pushed its lead back to ten (62-52) with 2:37 on the clock, Tech narrowed the gap again to four (64-60) in the closing seconds of the period before Angelo hit a bucket as time expired to take a six-point (66-60) lead into the fourth quarter.
- Tech knotted the game at 69-69 on a 3-pointer by Sanders at the 8:16 mark of the fourth quarter, but Angelo answered with six straight points to take a 75-69 lead with 7:13 to play.
- Angelo pushed ahead, taking a commanding 87-75 advantage with 2:44 to play.
- Arkansas Tech outscored Angelo State 15-5 down the stretch, pulling to within one twice in the final minute, but the Belles were able to hold on for the victory.
