GOLDEN SUNS SWEEP THE TIGERS

ADA, Okla. - Lauren Casey led the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns (13-6, 6-1 Great American Conference) to a victory over the East Central Tigers (2-19, 1-6) in straight sets (25-9, 25-19, 25-19). Casey put down 10 kills, hitting .308 and adding three block assists.  Middle blockers Emily Ragsdale and Mackenzie Eford had impressive performances with seven kills on nine swings, hitting .778 and seven kills, hitting .750 respectively. The Golden Suns posted their best offensive performance of the season, hitting .340 as a team.

"Great character team win today," said head coach Kera Dukic. "It takes a lot to get a team to realize that it takes every single person to win, and I think this team gets it. They cheer each other on like crazy, we're confident to use the entire roster at any point, and they are so much fun to watch. We got a ways to go but a bright future ahead!"
