Meredith Darnell turned in a 17-dig performance as the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns volleyball team (11-7, 4-2 Great American Conference) fought to a 3-1 win over Southeastern Oklahoma (6-12, 2-4) on Friday night at Tucker Coliseum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The opening set saw the two teams tie five times in a 7-7 start to the set.
- Southeastern reeled off five of six points to jump ahead 12-8.
- Tech reclaimed the lead by scoring eight of nine points to go ahead 16-13.Â
- Three separate times, Southeastern was able to pull to within two, but after pulling to within 19-17, the Golden Suns reeled off four straight points to go ahead 23-17, and Tech claimed a 25-19 win in the set.
- Tech opened the second set strong, running out to a 5-2 lead.Â
- Southeastern seized momentum, scoring 12 of the next 15 points to claim a commanding 17-8 advantage.Â
- The Golden Suns rallied, pulling to within three (21-18), but back-to-back Golden Suns errors gave SE a 23-18 lead, and a Southeastern ace and kill closed out the set at 25-19.Â
- Set three was a back-and-fourth affair as the teams opened up the set at 7-7.Â
- After Southeastern claimed an 8-7 advantage, Tech scored eight of the next ten to open up a 15-10 lead.Â
- The Golden Suns gradually grew the lead and closed out set three with a 25-18 win.
- Tech gradually grew its lead through set number four to claim another 25-18 set win to seal the match victory.
