RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. –
Greer Rogers turned in an 11-kill performance, hitting .304,
Amanda Milnick dished out 27 assists and 15 digs in a double-double, while
Meredith Darnell added 15 digs, but the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns volleyball team (8-7, 2-2 Great American Conference)was unable to ten blocks and virtually error-free play by Henderson State (14-2, 3-0) in a 3-0 loss to the Reddies on Tuesday evening at Tucker Coliseum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Henderson State jumped out to a 4-1 advantage in the opening set.
- The Golden Suns fought back to tie the set at 8-8, and then pulled ahead 10-9 before the Reddies retied the set.
- Tech scored six of eight points to jump ahead 16-12.
- After Tech took a 17-13 advantage, the Reddies scored five straight points to reclaim the lead.
- Arkansas Tech rallied again to jump ahead 22-19 and led 23-21 before Henderson State closed out the set with four consecutive points to win the opening set.
- The Reddies jumped out to a 6-2 advantage in the second set,
- Tech cut the deficit to one (8-7) after a 3-0 run, but HSU scored four straight to push its lead to 12-7.
- Tech was able to again pull to within one (17-16) before the Reddies scored five of six to go ahead 22-17, and then later Tech narrowed the set to two (23-21) before HSU closed out the set with a 25-22 win to go up 2-0 in the match.
- HSU scored the first six points of the third set and opened up an 8-1 advantage.
- After the Reddies jumped ahead 11-3, Tech was unable to narrow the gap to less than five points and the Reddies held on for the match win.
NOTABLES
- HSU outhit the Golden Suns .197 to .118. Tech had a positive hitting percentage in all three sets, hitting .171 in the second set.
- HSU had ten blocks to Tech's six and five aces to Tech's three.
- Tech had 37 assists to HSU's 34 and 59 digs to HSU's 57.
- The 15 digs by Darnell and Milnick tied HSU's Courtney Bolf for a match-high.
- Milnick's 27 assists led all players.
- Mackenzie Eford had five blocks (one solo, four assisted).
- Madison Grantham also reached double figures in digs with 11.
