RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys will look to get back in the win column as they travel to Waco, Texas to play Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Wonder Boys' matchup with the Javelinas is set to tipoff at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15.

SCOUTING THE WONDER BOYS
Arkansas Tech (2-7, 0-4 GAC) is in the middle of a tough stretch as it has now lost seven of its last eight games, including a current five game losing streak. The most recent loss coming with a 79-65 loss to Southern Arkansas at Tucker Coliseum on Wednesday, Dec. 12. The last time Tech lost five consecutive games was in the 2015-16 season.
Tech has depended on the trio of
R.J. Glasper,
Will Adler, and
Alex Brown for the bulk of its scoring this season as Glasper's 18.9 points per game leads the team and is also ranked third in the GAC. Alder ranks 12
th in the conference (15.6 ppg), while Brown is 14
th (15.1 ppg). However, in the past four games,
Ramses Sandifer has been one of Tech's better offensive options as he is averaging 13.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
The Wonder Boys will look reassert their presence inside as they take on the Javelinas. Tech is averaging 39.6 rebounds per game and have a -1.1 rebounding margin. Tech is 2-1 this season when they out rebound their opponent, but are 0-6 when they are out rebounded.
SCOUTING THE JAVELINAS
Texas A&M-Kingsville (3-5, 0-2 Lone Star Conference) enters Saturday's game on a three-game losing streak. The Javelinas most recent loss came at the hands of No. 12 St. Edwards (88-83) on Dec. 5.
The Javelinas have the top rated defense in the LSC as they lead the conference in scoring defense (65.8), field goal percentage defense (39.5%) and blocks (4.3/game). TAMUK also ranks second in 3-point field goal percentage (30.6%) and third in rebounding defense (32.4/game) and steals (8.6/game).
Texas A&M-Kingsville does not have any players averaging in double figures in scoring. However, every TAMUK player is averaging at least 13 minutes per game as the Javelinas cycle through a 12-man rotation. Chauncey Thomas leads TAMUK in scoring with 8.5 points per game, while Robert Stevenson leads the team in rebounding (6.4 rpg).
