RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.–
Ke'Vonshaye Stackhouse turned in an 18-point, four-rebound effort, while
Hannah Villines added 13 points, but the Arkansas Tech Golden Sun basketball team (3-3, 1-1 Great American Conference) was unable to outlast Henderson State (5-1, 2-0 GAC), falling 70-62 Saturday afternoon at Tucker Coliseum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Henderson State got off to a red-hot start, opening the game on a 17-6 run. The Reddies held a 21-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.
- HSU scored the first nine points of the second quarter to extend their lead to 18 points (30-12).
- Tech used a 7-0 run, highlighted by two Villines layups to trim the Reddie lead back to 11 points (30-19) at the 5:23 minute mark.
- Henderson used a pair of 3-pointers to push its lead to 17 points (41-24) with 2:24 remaining in the first half.
- The Suns scored the final five points of the half and went into the break trailing the Reddies 41-29.
- Tech scored the first five points of the third quarter, cutting the deficit to 41-33.
- Henderson State pushed its lead back to 12 points after a Pink Jones layup, but the Suns answered with back-to-back buckets, capped by a Jayana Sanders 3-poiner to cut the Reddie advantage to 49-42 at the 4:31 minute mark .
- HSU closed out the third quarter on an 8-2 run to put the score at 57-44 going into the final quarter of play.
- With Henderson holding on to a 57-44 advantage, the Golden Suns outscored HSU 16-5 to pull to within 62-60 with 3:34 remaining in regulation.
- The Suns went cold over the final three minutes of the game, going 1-7 from the field, allowing the Reddies to end the game on a 10-2 run and escape with a 70-62 win.
