  • The two teams traded leads over the next minute, but a Freddy Lee 3-pointer at the 13:04 mark gave Tech a 50-48 lead, starting an 8-0 run that saw Tech push its lead to seven (55-48) with 11:27 to play.
  • HSU erased a seven-point (61-54) Tech lead with a 7-0 run that tied the game at 61-61 with 6:08 to play.

  • With nine seconds remaining and Tech leading by one, Freddy Lee hit a pair of free throws to give the Wonder Boys a two-point advantage (79-77).
  • Seconds later, HSU's Rel Johnson hit the game-tying layup and was fouled in the process, setting up a three-point play that gave the Reddies an 80-79 lead – HSU's first lead since the 2:53 mark.
  • After a miss on the final possession, the Wonder Boys grabbed the offensive board; and Glasper put up an off-balance shot that was good; however, the shot did not leave his hands in time and the basket was waved off, sealing the win for Henderson.
