RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. –
R.J. Glasper turned in a 30-point, eight-assist, six-rebound performance, leading a cast of three Wonder Boys players to reach double figures in scoring, but the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys basketball team (2-4, 0-2 Great American Conference) dropped a heartbreaker to the Henderson State Reddies (5-2, 1-1) on Saturday at Tucker Coliseum, falling 80-79.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Wonder Boys raced out to a 14-3 lead just under six minutes into the game.
- Henderson State rallied, tying the game at 17-17 with 7:51 to play in the half before briefly taking a 19-17 advantage on a transition bucket less than a minute later.
- The Wonder Boys reclaimed the lead (22-19) with 5:26 remaining in the opening half after a Glasper layup and a 3-pointer by Alex Brown, but the Reddies outscored Tech 14-7 down the stretch to go into the break with a four-point (33-29) advantage.
- Tech got off to a good start in the second half, using an 8-0 run to claim a four-point (37-33) lead two minutes into the half.
- Henderson was able to tie the game multiple times over the next few minutes, but did not take the lead until the 14:48 mark when Mike Fofana's jumper gave HSU a 46-44 edge.
- The two teams traded leads over the next minute, but a Freddy Lee 3-pointer at the 13:04 mark gave Tech a 50-48 lead, starting an 8-0 run that saw Tech push its lead to seven (55-48) with 11:27 to play.
- HSU erased a seven-point (61-54) Tech lead with a 7-0 run that tied the game at 61-61 with 6:08 to play.
- The Wonder Boys again pulled ahead, but the Reddies charged back and reclaimed the lead with 3:12 remaining on a dunk by Fofana.
- Again the Wonder Boys edged ahead, but Tech was unable to create separation, leading by no more than three down the stretch.
- With nine seconds remaining and Tech leading by one, Freddy Lee hit a pair of free throws to give the Wonder Boys a two-point advantage (79-77).
- Seconds later, HSU's Rel Johnson hit the game-tying layup and was fouled in the process, setting up a three-point play that gave the Reddies an 80-79 lead – HSU's first lead since the 2:53 mark.
- After a miss on the final possession, the Wonder Boys grabbed the offensive board; and Glasper put up an off-balance shot that was good; however, the shot did not leave his hands in time and the basket was waved off, sealing the win for Henderson.

- HSU held a 43.5 to 40.6 percent advantage in field goal percentage, while the Wonder Boys connected on 37.8 percent (14-of-37) of their 3-pointers while Henderson shot 35.3 percent (6-of-17).
- HSU held a 44-43 rebounding edge.

- Tech held a 17-4 advantage in second-chance points, while Henderson held a 36-22 advantage in points in the paint and an 18-3 advantage in fast-break points.
