RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys basketball team returns to action this Thursday and Saturday, opening Great American Conference play with a Thursday evening tilt at Ouachita Baptist and a Saturday afternoon matchup with Henderson State at Tucker Coliseum. Thursday's game is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. while Saturday's game begins at 3.

The Wonder Boys trail both all-time series, as Ouachita holds an 84-75 advantage over Arkansas Tech and Henderson State holds an 80-75 advantage.
SCOUTING THE WONDER BOYS
R.J. Glasper has been a force on the offensive end, averaging 22.3 points per game. The sophomore has dished out 19 assists - second on the team. The assists leader is
Freddy Lee, who has 26 assists against just six turnovers - his 4.33 assist-to-turnover ratio ranks 15th nationally. Rebounding has also been a point of strength for the Wonder Boys, who average 44 boards a game, ranking eighth nationally. Leading the way on the glass has been dual threats
Will Adler (14.3 ppg, 9.3 rpg) and
Alex Brown (18.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg). The Wonder Boys lead the GAC in offensive rebounding (13.0/game), 3-point field goals per game (11.5), rebounds (44.0), and fewest turnovers per game (11.3).
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Ouachita Baptist enters the game at 3-1 and is coming on a two-game win streak after a pair of wins at the UA Fort Smith Classic over UAFS and Midwestern State. Coach Dennis Nutt's squad is led offensively by Mahlon Martin's 18.8 points per game, while Trey Harris is averaging 13.8 points per contest. On the boards, Matt Stanley leads the way with 6.3 rebounds per game, while Martin has also been OBU's assists leader, averaging 3.75 per contest. The Tigers are deadly from long-range - connecting on 44.9 percent of their 3-pointers, ranking sixth nationally and leading the GAC.
SCOUTING THE REDDIES
Coach Jimmy Elgas' squad is 4-1 on the young season, coming off an 83-62 win on Saturday over Hannibal-Lagrange. HSU's lone loss was a 78-73 setback at Mississippi College. Three players are averaging double figures in points, with Rel Johnson averaging 14.6 points per game to lead the way. Anthony Lupardus (12.3 ppg) and Chris Parker (12.0 ppg) have also been key contributors, while Mike Fofana (7.6 ppg, 7.6 rpg) has also played a key role.
