WONDER BOYS FALL TO WEEVILS

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. Bryan Allen racked up 131 yards and a touchdown, Terrez Hampton hauled in five passes for 102 yards, and KJ Reid notched 16 tackles, but the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys football team (2-4) was unable to overcome turnovers and the ground attack of the UAM Boll Weevils (2-4), falling 34-16 at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field on Saturday evening.

NOTABLES
  • Bryan Allen moved into second all-time in the GAC rushing charts with his 127-yard performance. He finished the game with 3,271 career yards, just ahead of Ouachita Baptist's Kris Oliver, who has 3,250 yards entering the stretch run. Allen is now 182 yards behind all-time leader Devlon Wortham.
  • Allen now trails Larry Brown by 332 yards for the Tech all-time record. He is 139 yards behind Eddie Meador for second all-time at Arkansas Tech. 
  • Manny Harris made his debut under center for the Wonder Boys, going 4-of-10 for 88 yards. 
  • In addition to Allen's 127 yards on the ground, he hauled in one pass for 32 yards. 
  • Defensively, Chris Ka le added nine tackles, while Cua' Rose had eight stops and one pass breakup. 
  • UAM outgained Tech 360-327, as the Weevils racked up 253 yards in the air to Tech's 137 while the Wonder Boys controlled the ground game, holding a 190-107 advantage. 
  • Tech held UAM to 2-of-16 on third down conversions, but the Weevils took advantage of their red zone opportunities, converting on four of five chances. 
  • UAM controlled time of possession, holding the ball for 39:15 to Tech's 20:47.
