RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Home runs by Mark Vaughn, Zach Klockowski and Dylan McDearmon gave the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys a 6-3 victory over the Southeastern Oklahoma Savage Storm on Saturday, but the Wonder Boys dropped the second game of the doubleheader, 8-3. Tech claimed the series, 2-1, the Wonder Boys' fourth consecutive series victory.

NOTABLES

• The loss in game two snaps a six-game win streak for the Wonder Boys. Tech maintains its place in second in the Great American Conference standings with the series victory.
• Similar to Friday's 4-3 victory over the Storm, Tech fell behind early in game one after a Southeastern home run. The Wonder Boys responded again, however, with a four-run second inning that included Vaughn's second homer of the season.
• Klockowski then added to Tech's one-run lead with a solo homer, his team-leading eighth of the season. McDearmon followed with his third home run of 2017 in the fifth inning.
• Hale earned his third win of the season in game one, pitching six scoreless innings and striking out four. Quentin Bowling and Harbin pitched the final 1.2 innings, with Harbin capturing his sixth save.
• In game two, the Storm took a 2-0 lead in the second inning, but Tech took another second-inning lead with three runs in the bottom of the inning. Southeastern scored the final six runs of the contest, though, to prevent the sweep.
