- The win gives the Wonder Boys their second walk-off victory in four games. Tech defeated Southeastern Oklahoma last Friday on Wilson's game-ending home run.
- Arkansas Tech trailed by as many as four runs in the contest, with Tech's only lead of the game coming on the last play.
- McDearmon recorded four hits for the second time this season, and he added is fourth home run of the season to pull the Wonder Boys within one run in the sixth inning.
- After Wilson's two-out triple in the bottom of the eighth, McDearmon tied the score, 5-5, on an RBI-single up the middle.
- Bowling helped the Scots scoreless for the final two innings of play, despite loading the bases in the ninth. Bowling struck out three of the last four Lyon batters, all three of them on called strikes.
- Thompson led off the bottom of the 10th inning with a single to left field but failed to reach second on a sacrifice bunt attempt by Harvey. With one out and Harvey on first, Wheeler doubled to left center to allow Harvey to score from first.
