Trevin Woods had a monster 26-point, seven-rebound effort, while Bennie Lufile scored 14 points and grabbed 13 boards, but the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys basketball team (20-5, 16-5 Great American Conference) dropped a 76-73 decision to East Central (20-7, 16-5 GAC) on Thursday night at the Kerr Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After ECU scored the first four points of the contest, the Wonder Boys answered with six points to pull ahead 6-4. ECU knotted the game at six with a pair of free throws at the 17:24 mark of the opening half.
- The Wonder Boys outscored Tech 6-2 over the next 2:30 to take a four-point (12-8) lead with 14:57 remaining in the half.
- The Wonder Boys used a 10-0 run to extend the lead to 19-8 with 11:35 to play.
- A long 3-pointer by Grant Prusator gave Tech a 12-point advantage (22-10) with 11:21 remaining in the half.
- ECU chipped away at the Tech lead, pulling to within four (29-25) with 4:49 remaining in the half.
- Back-to-back buckets by the Wonder Boys pushed the Tech lead to eight (33-25) with 4:00 to play, but ECU scored a layup on the next possession to again pull to within six (33-27) with 3:37 remaining.
- After an ECU stop, the Tigers hit a 3-pointer to pull to within three (33-30) with 3:15 remaining.
- ECU's Braxton Reeves buried a 3-pointer with 1:19 remaining in the half to knot the game for the first time since the 17:24 mark.
- Ishmael Donzo stepped to the charity stripe with 24.2 seconds remaining in the half and hit a pair of free throws to give ECU its first lead since the 15:25 mark.
- Justin Graham hit a jumper with four seconds remaining to give the Wonder Boys the lead once again, and Tech held a 38-37 advantage at the break.
- The two teams traded buckets in the opening minutes of the second half, with the Wonder Boys gaining the advantage five minutes into the half as Alex Brown's long 3-pointer pushed Tech's lead to seven (52-45) with 15:08 remaining.
- The Tech lead was pushed into double figures 62-51 after a 3-pointer by Freddy Lee with 11:40 to play.
- ECU came out of the media timeout with a 6-0 run to cut the Tech advantage to five (62-57) with 10:56 to play.
- After a basket by the Wonder Boys, ECU used another 5-0 run to pull to within two (64-62) with 9:10 remaining.
- ECU knotted the game at 64-64 with 7:27 to play.
- Trevin Woods scored his 20th point of the ballgame on a 3-pointer that gave Tech a 67-64 lead with 6:44 to play.
- Woods hit his seventh 3-pointer of the game on the next possession to push the Tech lead to six.
- ECU answered with a quick five-point spurt to pull to within one (70-69) with 3:17 to play and resulting in a Wonder Boys timeout.
- Out of the timeout, Woods hit his eighth 3-pointer of the contest to push the Tech lead to four (73-69) with 2:03 left in the game.
- ECU narrowed the deficit to two (73-71) going into the final media timeout with 1:10 remaining.
- Reeves tied the game at 73-73 for ECU with 49 seconds to play on a second-chance layup.
- ECU claimed the lead for good with 7.7 seconds to play as Donzo was fouled on a dunk and converted a 3-point play.
