Anissa Pounds scored a career-high 34 points and knocked down clutch free throws late to push the No. 19 Arkansas Tech Golden Suns (20-4, 15-4 Great American Conference) to an 82-73 win over Henderson State (8-18, 8-12 GAC) Saturday afternoon at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Golden Suns opened the first quarter on a 7-0 run thanks to a three-pointer from Pounds and a pair of buckets from Kelsey McClure.
- After the Reddies cut the lead to 14-12 with 3:58 to go in the first half, Tech went on a 13-2 run through a seven minute stretch to grab a 27-14 lead with 7:06 left in the 2nd quarter.
- The Reddies pulled the lead to nine with 2:08 to go in the second quarter, but went on an 8-4 run over the final two minutes stretched the lead back to 42-29 at halftime.
- Pounds poured in 11 more of the Golden Suns' 22 points in the third quarter to stretch the lead to 64-47.
- Henderson State put together a big rally in the fourth quarter, outscoring Tech 21-6 during the first seven minutes to cut the Golden Suns lead 70-68 with 3:06 to go.
- Holding on to a three-point lead with under a minute left, Pounds went 6-for-6 from the charity stripe to propel the Suns to the 82-73 victory over the Reddies.

- Pounds' 34 points came on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor, a blistering 7-of-11 from the three-point arc, and 9-of-10 from the charity stripe.
- McClure also broke double-figures with 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field and tallied six rebounds.
- The Golden Suns shot 27-of-51 (53-percent) from the field, 8-of-16 (50-percent) from the three-point arc, and 20-of-26 (77-percent) from the free throw line. Tech held the Reddies to 36-percent shooting from the field and 35-percent from the three-point arc for the game.
- The Suns won the rebounding battle 40-35, but turned the ball over 26 times to 17 for HSU.
