HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Ryann Goodsell scored the game's first three points, but Harding (20-3, 17-1 GAC) quickly established its first lead with five straight points.
  • The first quarter featured one tie and three lead changes, but a 20-9 run by the Lady Bisons to end the first quarter gave Harding a double-digit advantage at the conclusion of the period.
  • Harding maintained its double-digit lead for much of the second quarter, until White scored five straight points to end the half and pull the Golden Suns within six points. White scored 12 points in the first 20 minutes of play, missing just one shot from the field.
  • Both offensives stalled in the third period, combining for just 17 points. A triple by White followed by a layup at the buzzer by Goodsell cut the score to 49-42 entering the final 10 minutes.
  • With 3:49 to play in the contest, Danielle Frachiseur netted two free-throws to spark the 11-2 run, and Cheyenne North capped the streak with a jumper to pull the Golden Suns within two.
  • Harding was just 1-4 from the free-throw line in the final 10 seconds of play, but Tech could not tie the score or take the lead.
