TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Trevin Woods had a 27-point, 16-rebound double-double, R.J. Glasper came off the bench to score 22 points, and Harris Brown added 21 points as the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys basketball team (8-1) used a high-octane offensive performance to top Northeastern State (3-8) 100-88 on Tuesday night at the NSU Event Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After NSU opened the contest with a 3-2 lead, Tech went on a 6-0 run to claim an 8-3 advantage with 18:03 to play in the opening half.
- Tech kept a five-point (13-8) advantage at the 16:15 mark, but the RiverHawks used a 6-0 run to claim a 14-13 lead just over two minutes later.
- NSU's Jamir Andrews broke a 25-25 tie with a layup at the 9:12 mark, but the Wonder Boys used a 9-2 run to open up a lead that they would not relinquish for the remainder of the half.
- Tech stretched its lead to as many as 12 points (49-37) with 1:49 to play in the half before settling into halftime with an eight-point (52-44) advantage.
- Tech pushed its lead back into double figures and pulled ahead by 13 points (62-49) after an Alex Brown dunk at the 15:48 mark.
- NSU scored 12 of the next 16 points to pull to within two (66-64) at the 11:55 mark.
- After a Wonder Boys timeout, Tech outscored NSU 14-6 to push the lead back to double figures (80-70) with 6:27 remaining.
- Tech pulled ahead by as many as 15 points (92-77) with 3:29 to play and held on for the win.

- Trevin Woods had 17 first-half points, making him one of three Wonder Boys to hit double figures in the first half – Harris Brown (11 pts) and R.J. Glasper (10 pts) also reached double figures in the opening 20 minutes.
- Woods had seven first-half rebounds while Freddy Lee had seven first-half assists.
- NSU dominated the paint in the first half, holding a 24-12 advantage on points in the paint.
- The Wonder Boys dominated from beyond the arc in the first half, knocking down 10 3-pointers.
- Tech finished with 18 3-pointers, tying a season high and finishing one shy of the school record of 19, reached three times but most recently vs. Southeastern Oklahoma on March 6, 2015.
- Joining Woods, Glasper, and Brown in double figures were Mason Cline (12 pts) and Alex Brown (10 pts).
- Tech outrebounded NSU 40-32, holding a 30-21 advantage on defensive boards.
- Tech was outscored 40-30 in the paint, 18-12 in points off turnovers, and 16-12 on second-chance points.
- Tech shot 84.2 percent from the free throw line and 37.5 percent from the charity stripe.
