WONDER BOYS RUN THROUGH SAVAGE STORM

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech rushed for 390 yards as a team, the most since Sept. 3, 2015, and Braden Stringer ran for a career-high 230 yards and four touchdowns, as the Wonder Boys defeated Southeastern Oklahoma State, 48-10, on Saturday at Thone Stadium.

NOTABLES
  • With the win, the Wonder Boys remain tied for first place in the Great American Conference standings with one week remaining in the regular season.
  • Arkansas Tech (8-2, 8-2 GAC) scored the first 31 points of the contest, including 17 in the first quarter.
  • Stringer opened his career day with a 44-yard run on his second touch of the contest. Less than a quarter later, Stringer scampered for an 82-yard score to total 132 yards on three carries.
  • In the second half, Stringer added a two-yard touchdown and three-yard touchdown for a career-high four scores. Stringer's 230 yards on the ground are the sixth-most in Arkansas Tech program history.
  • Bryan Allen surpassed 100 yards rushing for the second time this season, totaling 106 yards on 15 carries.
  • With two field goals in the victory, including a season-long 45-yard conversion, Eric Perez ties Paul Peletz (1997-00) for 35 career field goals, the second-most in program history.
  • Arkansas Tech converted 5-11 third downs, while the Wonder Boys held the Savage Storm to just 9-20 on third downs. Southeastern was also just 1-5 on fourth-down conversions.
  • The Wonder Boys compiled 535 total yards of offense, compared to Southeastern's 369 total yards.
