WONDER BOYS TRAVEL TO OKLAHOMA THIS WEEKEND

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Fresh off a 91-90 upset of No. 16 Arkansas-Monticello last Saturday, the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys will look for their third and fourth consecutive victories this Thursday and Saturday. The Wonder Boys are in Oklahoma for this weekend's games, taking on Northwestern Oklahoma on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Southwestern Oklahoma on Saturday at 1 p.m.

ALL-TIME SERIES
The Wonder Boys have won eight of 10 all-time games against NWOSU, including an 85-69 win on Nov. 19. In the meeting between Northwestern and Tech this season, the Wonder Boys netted 12 three-pointers and forced 19 Ranger turnovers that resulted in 24 points. Against the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma, Tech holds a 17-10 all-time record. The Wonder Boys defeated SWOSU, 84-67, in Tech's season debut on Nov. 17.
 
SCOUTING THE WONDER BOYS
Arkansas Tech (11-4, 7-4 GAC) has won four of its last five games and eight of its last 10. Against the Boll Weevils in Monticello, Tech rallied from a 23-point deficit in the second-half, outscoring UAM 52-35 in the final 20 minutes. Alex Brown, Justin Graham and Freddy Lee each scored 19 points in the win on Saturday. Brown, Tech's leading scorer this season, led all players with 16 second-half points.
 
Over his last four games, Lee has averaged 31 minutes, 12.0 points and 6.8 assists. He added a career-high 11 assists against Arkansas-Monticello. Bennie Lufile follows Brown's team-high 15.6 points per game with 13.1 points and a GAC-leading 9.7 rebounds per contest. Lufile ranks seventh in Division II with 4.1 offensive rebounds per game.
 
SCOUTING THE RANGERS
Northwestern Oklahoma State (8-8, 4-7 GAC) is currently riding its largest win streak of the season at three games. The Rangers defeated Southwestern Oklahoma last Monday, before routing Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday and upsetting East Central on Saturday.
 
Northwestern ranks sixth in the GAC in scoring and ninth in scoring defense. The Rangers are tied for third in the conference in field-goal percentage, while ranking third in three-point percentage defense. Cody Halvorson is the GAC's reigning player of the week after scoring a season-high 21 points against the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday. He followed with a 19-point effort against ECU on Saturday. Halvorson currently ranks third in the GAC in three-point percentage (.461) and three-pointers made per game (2.9).
 
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Southwestern Oklahoma State (5-11, 2-8 GAC) ended a five-game losing streak with a 10-point win over Oklahoma Baptist last Saturday. The Bulldogs currently sit 11th in the GAC standings and last in the conference in scoring.
 
Devin Pugh leads the Bulldogs with 13.8 points per game, and Reshardd Harris averages 10.1 points and a team-high 5.6 rebounds. Pugh and Markeise Champion have combined for 72 three-pointers this season, leading a Bulldog team that ranks third in the conference in three-pointers per game.
