RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech women's basketball looks to rebound from its first loss in nearly two months, as the Golden Suns host Henderson State on Thursday and then travel to Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday. Thursday's contest in Tucker Coliseum in Russellville is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and Saturday's game in Monticello is set for 2 p.m.

ALL-TIME SERIES
The Golden Suns are 60-12 all-time against Henderson State. Tech has won the previous six contests against the Reddies and are 18-1 since 2008. Against the Cotton Blossoms of Arkansas-Monticello, Tech holds a 60-24 edge, including 17 consecutive victories dating back to 2009.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN SUNS
Arkansas Tech (11-2, 7-2 GAC) suffered its first loss in 60 days on Monday, falling to Harding, 72-58. The loss ended the Golden Suns' 10-game win streak, longest in the GAC this season. Tech is coming off its lowest scoring effort of the season in the loss to Harding, netting only 3-15 three-point attempts just four days after breaking the school record with 16 threes against Ouachita.
Despite the loss, Tech leads the GAC in scoring margin, defeating its opponents by an average of 14.1 points. The Golden Suns have the second-best scoring defense in the conference.
Cheyenne North and
Kelsey McClure both average over 13 points per game for the Golden Suns, while North ranks seventh in the GAC in field-goal percentage and fourth in rebounding.
SCOUTING THE REDDIES
Henderson State (7-8, 7-2 GAC) is coming off a 75-74 win over rival Ouachita on Monday, moving into a tie with Tech for second in the GAC standings. The Reddies have produced the second-highest scoring offense in the conference this season but rank 10th in scoring defense. Henderson sits seventh in field-goal percentage and 11th in field-goal percentage defense.
Pink Jones is in her first season with the Reddies, and she has made an immediate impact on both ends of the floor. Jones ranks third in the GAC in scoring, while also ranking third in the conference in steals. She has recorded at least 10 points in 13 out of 15 games this season, including at least 20 points in five games. Haleigh Henson leads the conference in minutes per game and ranks second in three-pointers made per game. She has attempted 132 triples this season, most in the conference. At just 5-foot-8, Hailey Estes is the only player under six feet that ranks in the top five in the GAC in rebounding.
SCOUTING THE COTTON BLOSSOMS
Arkansas-Monticello (6-7, 3-6 GAC) will host Arkansas Tech on Saturday after traveling to Arkadelphia on Thursday to take on Ouachita. The Blossoms handed Henderson State just its second conference loss last Saturday, before UAM lost on a last-second layup in overtime against Southern Arkansas on Monday.
Arkansas-Monticello has the fourth-best scoring defense in the GAC this season, as well as the fourth-best average margin of victory. The Blossoms are third in the GAC in three-point shooting percentage and first in three-point percentage defense. Treasure Evans leads the team with 12.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest. Nelsha Peterson ranks sixth in the conference in field-goal percentage, and Mia Hayes leads the GAC with 5.5 assists per game.
