Freddy Lee (11 points) reached double figures as the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys basketball team (8-3, 4-3 Great American Conference) held off a late rally by Southern Arkansas (6-7, 4-3 GAC), winning 90-88 on Saturday at the W.T. Watson Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- SAU opened the game on an 8-2 run.
- The Wonder Boys responded with a 7-0 run of their own to briefly claim a 9-8 lead with 15:31 remaining.
- After the Muleriders reclaimed the lead, SAU held the lead until the 11:54 mark when Trevon Woods buried a 3-pointer to put Tech ahead 16-14.
- SAU knotted the game at 16-16 with 11:22 remaining, but the Wonder Boys used a 6-0 run to extend their lead to 22-16 with 10:10 to play in the half.
- Justin Graham buried a 3-pointer with four seconds remaining in the opening half to give the Wonder Boys a 46-40 lead at the intermission.
- Tech opened its lead through the opening minutes of the second half, and pushed ahead by 11 points (70-59) after another Graham 3-pointer.
- SAU narrowed the Tech lead to one (77-76) with 5:04 to play and then again (81-80) with 2:55 remaining.
- The Wonder Boys were able to extend the lead over the closing minute to hold on for the victory.
