RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The No. 7 Arkansas Tech Golden Suns softball team (39-6, 29-5 Great American Conference) will play its final road series of the season this weekend at Southwestern Oklahoma (16-30, 14-22 GAC). The first doubleheader of the four game series is slated for Friday, April 15 at 2 p.m. and Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for a 12 p.m. start.

The Golden Suns are coming off a midweek doubleheader split with Harding, winning game one of the series 5-1 before dropping the nightcap 4-1.

Jalissa Gum has picked up three outstanding wins in the past week leading up to her receiving the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Pitcher of the Week. Gum pitched a one-hit and two-hit complete game shutout victories over then No. 23 Southern Arkansas, striking out 24 batters in the process. Gum had another strong outing against Harding, going six innings and giving up just one unearned run on five hits and two walks and struck out 11 batters in lieu to her 16
th win of the season.

The Golden Suns will look to close out their road series the way they came in, as the Suns are a perfect 20-0 in true road games this season.
