RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The No. 5 Arkansas Tech Golden Suns softball team (25-2, 17-1 Great American Conference) are set to face Pittsburg State (22-7) in a non-conference doubleheader in Pittsburg, Kan. tomorrow.
Â
The Golden Suns will finally face the Gorillas after having two different games rain out. Tech was scheduled to face PSU at the Southeastern Shootout on Feb. 6 as well as the UAM 8-State Classic on Feb. 14, but both games were cancelled due to rain.
Â
Tech is coming off a strong weekend of softball as the Golden Suns swept the GAC Preseason favorite East Central in four games on the road this past weekend. The Suns outscored the Tigers 23-3 in the series as both
Jalissa Gum and
Morgan Vaughan each picked up their ninth win of the season. Gum went on to earn the GAC Pitcher of the Week honor.
Â
The doubleheader is slated to start tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Pittsburg State Softball Complex. Live stats for the game will be available at
