WONDER BOYS WELCOME WILLIAM WOODS ON WEDNESDAY

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys will host William Woods on Wednesday evening for a non-conference contest. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Tucker Coliseum.

Wednesday's game will be the first between Arkansas Tech and William Woods.
 
SCOUTING THE OWLS
William Woods (8-3, 3-1 AMC) is riding a three-game win streak after an overtime victory over Haskell Indian Nations University on Saturday. The Owls also opened the regular season with a 81-68 win over Tabor College, then ranked 10th in NAIA Division II.
 
Trey Mitchell leads the William Woods offense, averaging 17.2 points per game. Shannon James follows with 15.8 points per contest to go along with a team-high 3.4 assists. The Owls are shooting 46.4 percent from the floor this season while holding opponents to just 39.2 percent.
 
SCOUTING THE WONDER BOYS
Arkansas Tech (3-2, 2-2 GAC) enters the match after dropping Great American Conference games to Oklahoma Baptist on Dec. 1 and Southern Nazarene on Dec. 3. The Wonder Boys currently rank second in the GAC in scoring, averaging 86.4 points per game.
 
Montrell Williams paces Tech with 16.2 points per game. Bennie Lufile averages 12.8 points and a team-high 7.4 per rebounds. Justin Graham also averages double-digits in scoring with 11.2 points per game, and Graham also leads the GAC with 6.2 assists per contest.
 
Taking care of the basketball has been a key for the Wonder Boys this season, as Tech leads the conference in turnover margin and assist/turnover ratio. Arkansas Tech tops the conference with 12.4 three-pointers made per game, as well.
