RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys and Golden Suns basketball teams will open their fourth season of Great American Conference play Thursday night at home in a doubleheader against Ouachita Baptist at Tucker Coliseum.
The undefeated, No. 24 Golden Suns (5-0) open the action at 5:30. Coach
Dave Wilbers' side enters the game outscoring its opponents by 24.8 points per game, with
Fatima Adams leading the conference with 23.4 points per game while coming in third with 10.0 rebounds. The Tigers (3-3) counter with Katie Kapler, who comes in averaging 12.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per outing.
Following the women's game, the Wonder Boys (4-3) take the court at 7:30, bringing along a three-game winning streak that has coach
Chad Kline's team back above .500 in the early going. The Tigers (4-1) head back to Russellville after going 1-1 in last weekend's Arkansas Tech Thanksgiving Classic, bringing along the GAC's top scoring offense, pouring in 90.8 points per game.
