LEADING OFF
The Arkansas Tech softball team continues their 10-game stretch of home games with a doubleheader against Rogers State on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The doubleheader is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. from the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex.
 
The Golden Suns and Hillcats have met 18 times prior to their doubleheader on Tuesday. The series began in 2006. Rogers State currently holds a 9-8-1 lead in the series.
 
TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns enter the doubleheader with an overall record of 32-11. They are coming off a series loss at home against No. 17-ranked Oklahoma Baptist this past weekend. Tech dropped the first two games by a total of three runs and then salvaged the finale, 4-3, with a walk-off hit.
 
Offensively, the Golden Suns enter this weekend hitting .278 as a team (324-for-1,167) with 214 runs scored, 56 doubles, 10 triples and 35 home runs.
 
Aubree Jones currently leads the team in batting average at .347 (41-for-118). Aaliyah Dixon has provided the most power production thus far with a .642 slugging percentage thanks to five doubles, four triples and seven home runs. Jones paces the team in RBIs with 33 while Anna Winkfield leads the team in runs scored with 34.
 
In the circle, the Golden Suns have a team ERA of 2.38 and have struck out 215 batters in 302.2 innings of work.
 
A total of five pitchers have appeared in the circle for the Golden Suns. Aly White, Ainslee Moore and Emily Richarde made starts over Tech's most-recent weekend against Oklahoma Baptist and figure to be in the mix at some point in the DH against Rogers State.
 
White is 12-4 with a 1.70 ERA and has 55 strikeouts in 98.2 innings. Moore is 11-1 with a 2.43 ERA and has 52 strikeouts in 86.1 innings. Richarde is 6-3 with a 2.35 ERA and has 76 strikeouts in 77.1 innings.
 
Leading the Golden Suns is Jordon Jones. In her fourth season as head coach of the Golden Suns, Jones has amassed a 113-84 record at Tech. Prior to coming to Tech, Jones had head coaching stops at the NAIA level at Central Baptist in Conway and MidAmerica Nazarene in Kansas. Overall, her career record is 266-160.
 
SCOUTING ROGERS STATE
Rogers State enters the doubleheader with Tech with a 29-15 overall record. They are coming off a doubleheader sweep on the road at No. 11 Missouri Southern this past Saturday. Rogers would lose both games by a pair of runs, losing the opener, 2-0 and the second game 4-2.
 
Entering play against Tech, the Hillcats are hitting .269 as a team (302-for-1,123) with 186 runs scored, 57 doubles, four triples and 26 home runs.
 
Jaden Jordan currently leads the team in batting average at .373 (47-for-126). Jordan has also provided the biggest power threat thus far for the Hillcats and leads the team with a .675 slugging percentage thanks to eight doubles and 10 home runs. Jordan is also tied for the team-lead leads in RBIs with Raylin Morgan at 29 while Mariah Belzer and Baylee King are tied in runs scored with 22.
 
In the circle, the Hillcats have a team ERA of 2.38 and have struck out 249 batters in 296.2 innings of work.
 
The Hillcats used a doubleheader rotation of Harley Culie and Kinsley Hill in their weekend doubleheader against No. 11 Missouri Southern. Those two figure to be in the rotation against Tech on Tuesday.
 
Culie is 15-8 with a 2.53 ERA with 152 strikeouts in 149.1 innings. Hill is 11-4 with a 1.84 ERA with 65 strikeouts in 91.1 innings.
 
Leading the Hillcats is Andrea Vaughan. She is in her 11th season as head coach at Rogers State. In her time at RSU, Vaughan is 389-191-1.
